What Is GTA 6?

GTA 6 is the next mainline entry in the Grand Theft Auto series, developed by Rockstar Games. The game is set in a modern version of Vice City, inspired by Miami and its surrounding areas.

Rockstar officially confirmed:

A modern open-world setting
Two main protagonists, Lucia and Jason
A story-driven narrative
A 2026 console release window

All of this information comes directly from Rockstar’s official trailer and press communication.

Officially Confirmed Platforms

As of now, Rockstar has confirmed GTA 6 for:

PlayStation 5
Xbox Series X | S

There has been no official announcement for a PC version yet. Any website claiming a confirmed PC release date should be treated with caution.

This transparency matters because building trust with users—and search engines—requires sticking to verified facts.

Will GTA 6 Come to PC? (Logic + History)

Yes, GTA 6 will come to PC.

This conclusion is based on Rockstar’s long-established release strategy:

Grand Theft Auto V launched on consoles first, then PC
Red Dead Redemption 2 followed the same pattern

PC releases generate long-term revenue, support modding communities, and perform extremely well on platforms like Steam.

From a business standpoint, skipping PC would make no sense. The delay is strategic, not accidental.

Expected GTA 6 PC Release Window

Rockstar has announced a 2026 release window for consoles.

Looking at historical data:

Grand Theft Auto V (GTA 5) PC launched around 18 months after consoles
Red Dead Redemption 2 PC launched after roughly 13 months

Based on this pattern, GTA 6 for PC is most likely to release in 2028 knowing Rockstar’s release strategy.

This estimate is not speculation. It is pattern-based analysis using Rockstar’s own history.

Why PC Gamers Usually Get the Best Version

Waiting can be frustrating, but PC players usually benefit in the long run.

Rockstar’s PC versions typically offer:

Higher frame rates
Advanced graphics options
Better texture quality
Mod support

This is why GTA titles remain popular on PC for many years. GTA 5 is still actively played today, largely because of its PC ecosystem.

Expected System Requirements for GTA 6 on PC

Rockstar has not released official PC system requirements yet. However, reasonable expectations can be set based on modern AAA standards and Rockstar’s previous titles.

Expected baseline requirements:

16 GB RAM
SSD storage
Modern multi-core CPU
Mid-to-high range GPU

These expectations are based on Red Dead Redemption 2’s PC requirements and current-generation console hardware—not guesses.

Will GTA 6 Be Available on Steam?

Rockstar has released its major PC titles on Steam after an initial launch phase.

It is very likely that:

GTA 6 will launch first on Rockstar Games Launcher
A Steam release will follow later

When this happens, many users will look for Steam PC games through trusted sellers and marketplaces offering competitive pricing, such as steam games bazaar, especially when searching for cheap PC games over time.
